Porsche has unveiled its inaugural 911 hybrid model to the public. The latest Carrera GTS is equipped with the innovative T-Hybrid system, delivering not only a substantial increase in performance but also a notable rise in pricing.

The new 911 Carrera GTS is driven by a fresh 3.6-liter flat-six engine, which supersedes the former 3.0-liter unit. Instead of dual turbochargers, the new engine employs a single electric turbocharger, incorporating a 14.7 hp electric motor that aids in spooling it up, thus minimizing turbo lag.

Electrification extends within the engine bay. A 32.6 hp traction motor resides between the engine and the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, while a 1.9 kWh battery is positioned beneath the front hood. The resultant output is 534 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque.

Built on the updated 992 chassis, the Carrera GTS T-Hybrid is fitted with active aero flaps at the front, wider tires, and a rear-axle steering system. The car has a weight of 1595 kg, which is 50 kg more than its predecessor.

Porsche has also refreshed the traditional 911 Carrera. The sports car retains the 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer engine. Nevertheless, it has been revamped with a new intercooler from the Turbo models and the turbos from the former GTS iteration. These modifications have raised the total horsepower to 389 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque.

Prices for the 2025 Porsche 911 facelift:

The 2025 range of Porsche 911 commences at $122,095 for the standard Carrera model. The entry-level Carrera GTS T-Hybrid is priced at $166,895, available in Cabriolet, all-wheel drive, and Targa variants.
