Recently unveiled to the public in Monaco, the Mercedes-AMG Mythos PureSpeed marks the inauguration of the exclusive Mythos series by Mercedes-Benz.
Under this new sub-brand, Mercedes-Benz will be crafting a select number of unique editions, and the PureSpeed is an exceptional kickstart. Built upon the foundation of the latest SL roadster, this striking speedster has been meticulously designed to captivate. Only 250 fortunate individuals will have the opportunity to own one.
Even in its conceptual form, the Mercedes-AMG Mythos PureSpeed emanates a readiness for production. Drawing inspiration from the AMG-One hypercar, the design is simply stunning. Sporting a sleek front with a distinctive “shark nose,” this speedster boasts roll hoops at the back in the classic style, horizontal taillights, and an aggressive diffuser with quad exhausts. A striking Formula 1-esque halo extends over the cockpit.
In the words of Michael Schiebe, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG and Head of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and Mercedes-Maybach divisions, “The Concept Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed provides a sneak peek into an unparalleled experience of performance and driving pleasure. With an open design that immerses the passengers in the elements without any barriers, it offers a pure and unfiltered experience of light, air, and passion. As the inaugural Mythos vehicle, it embodies the epitome of exclusivity, complemented by design elements like the HALO that evoke a Formula 1 ambiance. Monaco serves as the perfect backdrop for its world premiere.”
While technical details remain undisclosed, the Mythos PureSpeed is expected to be equipped with a formidable 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, owing to its SL roadster heritage.
