The comprehensive global vehicle manufacturing plant database presents production data for approximately 60 vehicle categories, 140 trademarks, and more than 1,100 variations. It encompasses lightweight (<3.5t GVW) and heavyweight (>3.5t GVW) vehicles.

For the 2023 edition, several records have been either added to or removed from the database, reflecting the establishment of new plants, the introduction of new trademarks in production at existing plants, or the closure of facilities.

The data set features all automaker conglomerates with worldwide production of light vehicles exceeding 500,000 units annually, alongside numerous small-scale manufacturers. It also covers major producers of heavy-duty trucks.

Production specifics are available per plant for both 2022 and 2023. Additionally, details are provided for key plants slated to commence operations in 2023 or later. Users have the flexibility to filter data by region, country, location, automaker conglomerate, and trademark.

The database encompasses manufacturing plants responsible for assembling kits produced by primary facilities. While assembly operations are typically indicated, there might be exceptions, including instances where plants both assemble kits and engage in full-scale production of certain models. To calculate an automaker’s net production, assembly activities must be excluded.

Plant locations in the database adhere to common designations but may differ from alternative sources.
