Dubai Police aren’t the only authorities with impressive vehicles in their fleet. The Italian Highway Patrol has recently introduced the latest addition to its roster: a Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4, designed to easily outrun most vehicles on the streets of Bologna, home to the company. The car was delivered in person by Lamborghini CEO Stefano Domenicali, who commissioned its creation specifically for the police, similar to the Lamborghini Gallardo it replaces. Dressed in the signature light blue of the Italian Highway Patrol, this Huracan stands out as one of the most remarkable police cars on the planet.
This Lamborghini represents a unique and versatile role for the brand. The vehicle is equipped with essential police features, such as gun holsters, a police radio, a laptop, and more. Interestingly, the car does not have a back seat, meaning that if you’re caught in a high-speed pursuit in Bologna, you’ll be riding in the front passenger seat on your way to the station—quite the memorable ride, wouldn’t you agree? Beyond its role in traffic enforcement, the Huracan will also serve as an emergency medical vehicle, swiftly transporting the injured to hospitals and carrying blood to and from emergency sites as needed. The front trunk includes a refrigeration unit for critical supplies.
Equipped with the standard Huracan powertrain, this vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed exceeding 202 miles per hour, ensuring swift action against any wrongdoers in the area.
“The new Lamborghini Huracán symbolizes Italian super sports car excellence, and we are proud to provide it to the Italian State Police,” remarked Winklemann in a statement.
This Huracan joins another of its kind that has served the Italian police since 2015..
