In the third quarter of 2024, General Motors and its dealerships saw a 3% year-over-year increase in retail sales, achieving a total of 659,601 vehicle deliveries in the U.S., although this is a 2% decline from the previous year. The company also set a new record for electric vehicle (EV) sales, with 32,195 units delivered, marking a significant 60% increase compared to the same period last year and a 46% rise from the second quarter of 2024.
“GM’s EV portfolio is expanding at a faster rate than the overall market because we offer an all-electric vehicle for nearly everyone, regardless of their driving preferences,” stated Rory Harvey, GM’s executive vice president and president of Global Markets.
