Nissan has raised prices of its Qashqai in advance of an updated model arriving by the end of 2024.
12/07/2024 UPDATE – This article has been revised with updated pricing and brought forward.
The 2024 Qashqai range remains unchanged, except for the delayed launch of Nissan’s e-Power hybrid powertrain, with prices rising by $500 across all models compared to its late 2022 debut.
Nissan attributed the price hike to increased raw material, production, and logistics expenses.
After several delays, the Qashqai e-Power hybrid finally made its way to Australia earlier this year.
During its journey to showrooms, it dropped the ST-L variant and is now exclusively available in the flagship Ti trim, priced from $52,090 before additional costs – a $4200 increase compared to the petrol-powered Qashqai Ti.
Online orders opened on November 2, 2023, with deliveries starting in the first quarter of 2024.
“Based on early feedback from customers and dealers, we have observed a strong demand for the Qashqai Ti e-Power,” mentioned a Nissan Australia spokesperson late last year.
“Similar to the X-Trail, the top-spec X-Trail Ti-L e-Power has shown the strongest demand initially. Therefore, we have decided to focus on the Qashqai Ti e-Power at its launch. We will monitor the market and introduce other variants if there is demand.”

Drivetrains
Most 2024 Nissan Qashqai models are equipped with a 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol four-cylinder engine featuring variable compression technology, delivering 110kW of power (5500rpm) and 250Nm of torque (1600-3750rpm).
A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is coupled with it.
The e-Power is equipped with a front-mounted 140kW/330Nm electric motor, powered by a 2.3kWh lithium-ion battery pack. An onboard generator in the form of a 116kW turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine, not connected to the wheels, provides the e-Power with a more electric vehicle (EV)-like sensation.
All versions of the Qashqai are designed for front-wheel drive.
Fuel Efficiency
The 2024 model of Nissan Qashqai consumes 6.1 litres per 100km on the combined cycle and has a 55L tank that must be filled with 95 RON premium unleaded gasoline.
The Qashqai Ti e-Power uses 5.2 litres per 100km on the combined cycle, and similar to the regular petrol models, it comes equipped with a 55-litre fuel tank that requires at least 95 RON premium unleaded petrol.
Specifications
The dimensions for the new Qashqai are as follows: overall length of 4425mm, width of 1835mm (excluding mirrors), height of 1625mm, and a wheelbase length of 2665mm.
In the petrol model, the boot can hold up to 429 litres (418L for the Ti variant due to its sound system) with five seats occupied, expanding to 1524-1513L when the rear seats are folded down.
Servicing and Warranty
The Nissan Qashqai comes with a five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty.
For petrol variants, servicing is required every 12 months or 15,000 kilometers, whereas e-Power models need servicing every 12 months or 10,000 kilometers.
